| TOUR: Captive Lands
Tuesday, December 9, 3:00 pm
Join curator Gordon Wilkins for a tour of the exhibition, which explores what it means to “capture” the landscape. Organized in dialogue with Making Their Way: The Florida Highwaymen Painters and consisting of works drawn from the Addison’s rich permanent collection, Captive Lands explores the myriad ways in which the American landscape has been romanticized, exploited, commercialized, and conquered from the 19th century to the present day. This program is presented in partnership with Andover’s Memorial Hall Library; registration is required.

NEW AT THE ADDISON: MINI PRINT VENDING MACHINE |
Ana Inciardi is a relief printmaker and the creator of the Mini Print Vending Machine. The artist, based in Portland, ME, had accessibility in mind when developing the machines, which price each mini print at $1. The machines at the Addison Gallery offer a rotating selection of limited-edition works, including the museum’s iconic Venus Anadyomene fountain by Paul Manship.

| | The mission behind this project is to share art that is accessible and affordable, so please be considerate and limit your prints to 10 per person. Visit the front desk to exchange up to $3 in quarters (cash only).
