Due Tomorrow: Submit your District Award Recipients for National Consideration!

District chairs, please use the District Awards Reporting Form to let us know the names of your district student, coach, and administrator award winners and officially nominate them for the national-level awards! As a reminder, two things are required to enter your local award winners into the running for our national-level award: the completion of this reporting form and the supporting information collected as part of the nomination form.

If your district didn't use our standard forms to collect nominations, please find the appropriate nominating form to submit those additional details (you or the nominating coach can do this). If you aren't sure whether your district used these forms, please email info@speechanddebate.org for assistance or check your email for a confirmation of a submitted nomination. All nomination emails have the same naming convention: District [Award Name] Nomination [Nominee Name].

Due Tomorrow: World Schools National Tournament Entries

Each district may enter up to three World Schools Debate teams into the National Tournament by tomorrow, April 16. To do so, the district chair can log in to Tabroom.com click their district under "Institutions," click the "Nationals" button, and select their teams.

Recognize Your District's Qualifiers

Help recognize your district's student qualifiers as they compete at Nationals! Committee members may reserve space for district ads for the 2021 online Tournament Book by May 1, 2021. Final ads are due no later than May 15, 2021. Not sure where to start with your ad design? We can create it for you! Submit an ad or view pricing and dimensions.

Registering Non-Qualifiers in Supplemental Events

Every member school that participates in the district tournament series has the opportunity to enter up to two students who competed at districts but did not qualify for a main event in supplemental events at the online 2021 National Tournament. To begin the registration process for your students use the Non-Qualifier Supplemental Event Registration form. Please share this information and link with coaches in your district. Duo Interpretation Division Selection

Coaches of national qualifiers in Duo Interpretation can fill out the Duo Division Selection Form by May 15 to select the division(s) that their qualifiers will compete in at the 2021 National Tournament. Students may be registered in Live Duo, Asynchronous Split-Screen Duo, or both. More information about the two Duo divisions can be found in our Tournament Procedures.

Save the Date! District Leader Town Hall on April 29.

This month's District Leader Town Hall will be held on April 29, 2021, at 5:00 p.m CT. NSDA staff will participate in a discussion with NSDA District leadership on the current state of NSDA school and student membership and conceptualize how the organization might chart a course to fulfill its vision of every student having access to speech and debate activities. In addition, the group will discuss the growing use of Tabroom.com and the best ways for the NSDA to create a sustainable model for the software's use. A link to this meeting will be sent to district leaders on Tuesday, April 27.
