School's In For Summer! Some Campus Updates for Weeks Ahead
With Summer Session starting today, below are some campus updates to help you make the most of it!
- Library: The William M. Rains Library is open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 12- 9 p.m. Sunday, except for closures for holidays: Memorial Day (May 30), Juneteenth Day (June 17) and Independence Day (July 4). Visit the library website for updates.
Bookstore: The bookstore will be running reduced hours over the summer, with plans to be open 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday beginning next week. Visit the bookstore's website for the most up-to-date information. - Sonia's Café: Sonia's Café is expected to be closed for daily dining beginning this week, with catering services available by order. Reopening plans will be announced in future editions, and regular service will return for the fall semester. Vending machines, some with microwaveable meals, are available on the ground floor of the Casassa Building and on the second floor of Founders Hall.
- Parking: For students who did not pay for parking during the spring semester and need parking for summer, please submit an application through the ID Cards & Parking Form. Parking will be added to your student bill, or you can come by the Information Center to pay the $116 fee in full by cash or check. Parking will be valid from the first day of summer classes (May 23) until July 31, when the Parking Application app for Fall 2022 becomes available. If you haven't yet submitted the form, please do so this week. As a reminder, if you paid for parking during the spring semester, you will have parking access until July 31, 2022 and do not need to take any further action at this point! Please contact dept-campusoperations@lls.edu with any questions or concerns.
