Are We Having Fun Yet?
The children in our KFICCC program are having a GREAT summer, thanks in part to the money raised from the Duck Festival in April. So far, they've enjoyed pony rides, an Arctic bouncy slide, and a morning filled with foam fun (above). Click here to learn more about how we support children with and without disabilities.
July is National Parks & Recreation Month
Montgomery Parks and the County's Department of Recreation encourage residents to attend one or more of the many events planned for the month of July. This year's theme for Montgomery Parks is "A Lifetime of Discovery," and urges residents to explore the many parks throughout the County. Click here for a daily activities calendar.

Welcome New Board Members
The Arc Montgomery County's membership elected new officers and directors for the Board of Directors on June 22. Ande Kolp, Executive Director of The Arc Maryland (right), conducted the installation ceremony. This year's membership meeting was combined with a celebration of our 60th birthday. Transition Planning Survey
The Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council, in partnership with the Parents' Place of Maryland, has developed a survey specifically looking at the transition of students with disabilities from school. They want to learn from families about their experiences, concerns, and ideas about what works and doesn't work. Please take about 15-20 minutes to complete the survey by Friday, August 3.  Click here to begin.
