As the new academic year approaches, Seton Hall University students have a reason to cheer. A big welcome to the new CHDCM Director of Student Success, Jeronimo Valcarcel. Valcarcel is responsible for the holistic support of graduate and undergraduate students through co-curricular programs, individualized academic success plans, and collaboration and training on related best practices for faculty and academic advisors.

News from the College of Nursing

The College of Nursing welcomed 112 new students to its online M.S.N and D.N.P programs at an in-person Immersion on August 21 at the Interprofessional Health Sciences Campus in Nutley. "We were especially excited to kick off Seton Hall's new Family Nurse Practitioner program," said College Director of Graduate Admissions and Compliance Gabby Zengewald. "This degree allows students to specialize in family, adult and pediatric nursing and prepares them to excel in a wide range of healthcare settings." Learn more about the FNP program here.

Oona Marie Adams, Ed.S.
Program: Ed.D. in Education Leadership (K-12 School Administration)
|
Congratulations to Oona Marie Adams who graduated from our Ed.S. program and is currently in the Ed.D. in K-12 ELMP program. Notably, she was just installed as the Director of English Language Arts (ELA) for Millburn Township Public Schools. In her new role, Adams oversees English Language Arts curriculum, instruction, articulation, professional learning, intervention and enrichment.

The College of Nursing has appointed Kate Tarpey Balsamo as the new program director of the M.S.N. in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (P.M.H.N.P.) program. Previously the College's clinical placement coordinator, Balsamo brings over twenty years of experience from diverse healthcare settings to her role at Seton Hall.
