Meet Your Online Instructor: Dr. Marjorie Castle

Dr. Marjorie Castle is a Professor (Lecturer) in the Department of Political Science, where she teaches courses related to the study of politics, international politics, and American foreign policy. The author of Triggering Communism’s Collapse: Perceptions and Power in Poland’s Transition, Prof. Castle has also contributed to a number of political science textbooks in addition to her instructional activities. This semester, Prof. Castle is teaching the online section of POLS 3001 (Political Analysis), in which she carefully guides students through course concepts via structured, video-supported weekly assignments.

Darwin Day at the University of Utah

Born February 12th 1809, Charles Darwin is best known as the father of evolutionary theory. His work including On The Origin of Species and The Descent of Man, formed the foundation of the theory of natural selection, which has shaped modern biological and anthropological thinking. We come together not only to celebrate the man, but to also celebrate the intellectual legacy that is the result of his early insights.
