Earlier today, a few members of the faculty and administration received an anonymous email threatening violence on the South Orange campus. Any threat to our community’s safety is taken extremely seriously, and Public Safety is working closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement to investigate this matter. The threat is unverified at this time. However, out of an abundance of caution, a range of enhanced security measures and protocols — including an increased law enforcement presence — have been implemented and will remain in effect until the investigation concludes. All campus activities continue as scheduled.
The safety and well-being of every campus community member remains our foremost priority.
