Lori and Steve Tesdahl at Audio-Reader's 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2021
|
|
Longtime volunteer and supporter Lori Tesdahl first connected with Audio-Reader after her stepfather began losing his vision. In addition to being a volunteer reader, she spent years curating vinyl for Audio-Reader's formerly known For Your Ears Only sale—helping raise over $30,000 annually.
A loyal donor and volunteer, Lori continues to give because she sees the impact the service has on people's lives. “Audio-Reader helps people stay connected to their communities and the world around them, and it’s all provided at no cost to the listener. That’s huge."

| Audio Description in Full Swing |
Audio-Reader recently hosted a special audio description reception ahead of the Paul Taylor Dance Company performance at the Lied Center on April 16. Attendees got a unique, hands-on experience - feeling costumes, hearing detailed descriptions, and even trying out a few dance movements to better understand the performance. Audio-Reader then provided live audio description during the show, enhancing access for patrons who are blind or visually impaired.
