The Alumni Awards criteria and nomination requirements have been updated to better align with a dynamic and evolving environment. Each award now features a clearly defined “main criteria” supported by specific sub-criteria.
This structure streamlines the evaluation process for the Alumni Association's Honors and Awards Committee, by providing greater clarity and reducing ambiguity about whether a nominee meets the specified criteria. While the criteria are now more precise, the range of award categories has expanded to encourage a broader pool of potential nominees.
Additionally, the nomination process has been revised to include self-nominations and documentation required with submissions.
This change aims to:
1) increase the number of qualified nominees
2) ensure a fair and equitable evaluation process, allowing all nominees to be assessed on equal footing.
