Scheduling routine primary care visits and recommended health screenings is vital to ensuring you are taking care of yourself and your family. We understand it can be difficult to schedule an appointment due to busy work schedules.
Currently Cleveland State employees enjoy various paid time off options that can be used to schedule health screenings including vacation, sick and compensatory. Starting this month, CSU employees will have an additional paid time off option called “well-being days” issued each calendar year. Well-being days, as other paid time off days, are available for employees to participate in wellness events, schedule essential health and wellness appointments or just take time to recuperate.
Employees working 30-40 hours per week will receive two paid well-being days each year, while employees working 20-29 days per week will receive one paid well-being day each year. Well-being days will be a selectable time off option in Kronos in the same way that vacation and sick days are recorded, and equivalent to an employee’s regularly scheduled work shift.
Please talk with your supervisor to take advantage of these additional days off to ensure the well-being of yourself and your family.
