Clinical and Translational Science Pilot Awards
|
ACTRI will award up to eight pilot grants ($30,000 each) to support innovative, high-impact translational science projects that are not yet ready for extramural funding. Only full-time faculty are eligible, with priority given to junior full-time faculty. Due to a shortened funding year, funds must be fully spent by March 31, 2026. Only exempt or minimal-risk IRB projects will be considered. Awardees will be selected in October 2025.

K12 Mentored Career Development Award |
The ACTRI K12 program is equivalent to an NIH K23, K01, or K08 and provides up to 3 years of support for early-career faculty with $115,000/year toward salary, plus benefits and $10,000/year in research/travel funds. Applicants must hold a faculty appointment (Instructor or Assistant Professor) by the time of award, be within 5 years of completing a postdoctoral or clinical fellowship, and must not have served as PI on an R01-funded project or received a mentored K award (with limited exceptions). 75% protected research effort is required (50% for eligible clinical specialties).
