New District Qualification Method - Pilot

We are committed to aligning the district tournament series with the organization's core values, mission, and vision. In response to member feedback that the current up/down system creates barriers for meeting key goals of the organization, the NSDA will pilot an alternative concept for National Tournament qualification for the 2018-2019 school year. Meet Erik Dominguez

This summer, Erik Dominguez joined the NSDA as our District Support Manager. Erik has been competing and coaching for more than 20 years. As a teacher, Erik taught English, Theater, and Spanish classes at the middle school, high school, and collegiate level. Erik’s primary role at the NSDA is to provide ongoing support to coaches, schools, and districts and implement strategies for sustainability and growth.
All district chairs should have received communication from Erik inquiring as to the state of your district as well as offering support for your goals. If you did not receive a message, please contact him at erik.dominguez@speechanddebate.org

Calling All Former and Retired Coaches!

Whether it be a new opportunity, retirement, or another reason, we would like to keep in touch with coaches who have stepped away from the activity! If this sounds like someone you know, please ask them to email Erik Dominguez to learn about some exciting opportunities to stay involved with speech and debate.

New Process for Submitting Rule Suggestions
