New Name Added to Scroll of Honor
This year, Memorial Day weekend on the Clemson campus will include a special ceremony at the Scroll of Honor Memorial as Philip Aaron Porter will be added to the names engraved around the Memorial’s barrow. The service, to which the public is invited, will begin at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 30.

Gov. Henry McMaster has recognized two Clemson University faculty members for their contributions to scientific discovery, education and public service. Tanju Karanfil received the 2021 Governor’s Award for Excellence in Scientific Research, and Marco Ajello, received the 2021 Governor’s Young Scientist Award for Excellence in Scientific Research.
