Patriot Day is observed every September 11 to remember the victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks. Please join us at our September 11 Memorial Mass at 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 13. There will be a 9/11 25th Memorial Trip with RA Mazaiah and RA Riley; please register. New Jersey is marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, with statewide memorial services, candlelight vigils, and community gatherings

World Suicide Prevention Day is September 10.

The Hispanic Heritage Month Kickoff happens Wednesday, September 15. Join us as we celebrate the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month. The theme is “Unidos, Somos Más” (“Together, We Are More”). Some organizations are also highlighting the co-theme “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together.”

Seton Hall and the Student Government have teamed up with TurboVote to make voting while at school easy to do, click here or contact sga@shu.edu with questions. October 13 is the voter registration deadline for the November general election. Our NPHC Voter Registration Week begins September 14.

First 56 Days

The First 56 Days is a campus-wide Fall programming initiative that encourages students to experience everything that Seton Hall University, South Orange and the greater NYC area has to offer. Check out the calendar.

Campus Inclusion

Located on the second floor of the University Center, the Campus Inclusion and Community Center promotes belonging, collegiality, and cultural engagement in alignment with Strategic Plan Pillar 2. The space is open Monday–Friday from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., and all are welcome. Join us September 15 for World Afro Day with student organization H.A.I.R. at 7:30 p.m. in Campus Inclusion.

South Orange Downtown hosts an Outdoor Art Party & Shopping Crawl Sunday, September 20 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Fiesta en La Placita on Friday, September 25 at 7 p.m. in Spiotta Park! Join South Orange Downtown and South Orange Village for a free, family-friendly evening filled with music, dancing, great food and plenty of fun in the heart of downtown.

Nutley & Belleville will have local services take place at 10 a.m. at Township Hall (Nutley) and 11 a.m. at 9/11 Memorial Park (Belleville).

The 25th Anniversary of September 11 / Patriots Day:

The annual Essex County's September 11 Remembrance is held at the Eagle Rock Reservation.
The Empty Sky Memorial is located at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. This official state monument honors the 746 New Jersey residents who lost their lives at the World Trade Center.
Jersey City is hosting its annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony in the morning.
Princeton NJ is hosting a public service at 11 a.m. at the Steel Beam Memorial on Mt. Lucas Road, featuring an honor guard and a new plaque unveiling.
Livingston NJ is holding an outdoor remembrance ceremony at 4 p.m. at the 9/11 Living Memorial Garden on the Livingston Oval.
East Brunswick is having a twilight vigil and ceremony from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Municipal Complex.
