Honoring the past and looking forward

We have a great event on tap this Saturday at the Homecoming Football Game.
The game against Evergreen Lutheran starts at 7 p.m. at Curtis High School in University Place.
Beforehand there will be a dinner provided by Sirius Wood Fired Pizza at 5:30 p.m. The cost for alumni is just $5, while everyone else will pay menu prices.
It is also the 30-year anniversary of football at our school and we will be honoring the 1991 team during the game. They will receive free food and a lifetime athletics pass as well.
There will be new SCA swag for sale, including hats, pullovers, polos and more. There will also be vintage Tacome Baptist gear for sale and every 2021 graduate in attendance will receive one vintage TBS item.
We hope to see you there!

Spirit Week kicks off Monday

Get in the Homecoming mood with Spirit Week. There are fun dress-up events each day this week for middle and high school.

Noren inducted into
PLU Hall of Fame

Director of Athletics Rick Noren received a high honor last weekend when he was inducted into the Pacific Lutheran University Hall of Fame.
Noren is one of the winningest coaches in PLU history, coaching the Lutes softball team to five consecutive conference titles and a fourth-place finish at nationals.

Hey students, it's your time to shine

Does your student have a special skill like singing, acting, playing an instrument, dancing or something we haven't even thought up? Well, then they will want to try out for the Sound Christian Academy Talent Show.
There will be tryouts for high school students during their lunch period Tuesday, Oct. 19 and Thursday, Oct. 21 in the choir room. Tryouts for elementary school and middle school students from 3-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 in the Choir Room.
If music is required for the audition, it must be on a phone for quick access.
Parents will be notified via email if their student has earned a spot in the talent show, which will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19. There will be a dress rehearsal at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person and there is a $25 cap per family (immediate family only). Tickets will be available at the door.
There will be a dessert auction as well.
For more information, please contact Arts Department Chair Calice Black.
