Chen Ziqing ’17: “I have been working as a sustainability & climate change consultant for the past 3 years. Recently I joined AFRY, a Nordic power market consulting firm, to work with multinational corporations to develop and implement decarbonisation strategies. For a current engagement, I am advising an international investor on the renewables market entry strategy in China.”
Shirley Zhao ’19: “Selected as a Knight-Hennessy scholar in 2019, I came to Stanford University to pursue two master’s degrees in East Asian Studies and Public Policy. In 2022, I graduated with the award of outstanding graduate student from both departments and am now working as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in the Bay Area. Every day challenges me with a deep, new learning curve - exposed to a skill, an industry, a function, a practice by experienced colleagues, and/or a request from a client … From academia to the industry, I continue to explore the many ways different peoples and organizations interact, communicate, and connect in our drastically diverse world.”
Jiang Yankun ’20: "I took a gap year after graduating from NYUSH. I worked as a Dean's Fellow at the Office of Student Life at NYU Shanghai and later as an intern Consultant at AlixPartners. After the gap year, I went to the University of Chicago and am now pursuing my master's degree in Public Policy, specifically focusing on Finance & Policy and Data Analytics."
Amy DeCillis '20: “I recently moved from Shanghai to Dublin and started at the Football Association of Ireland as a Sales Manager. Some of my best memories from NYU Shanghai are on the pitch with my teammates, and I'm excited to be combining my personal and professional passions in the Sport Industry.”
Kong Xiaoyan ’21: “After a year working in the remote Tibetan area in China, I am now studying environment and sustainability in Sweden. It is an interdisciplinary master's program focusing on sustainability challenges. We have a group of 45 students from 25 countries who hope to become the agents of sustainable change, big or small.”
Ma Jiaji ’21: “I’ve been pursuing a PhD in Applied Physics at Yale University. My recent project is on the effect of light atoms’ high-frequency phonons in cuprate oxides. In the meantime, I am training for the New York City and Chicago marathons in 2023.”
Amy Zhao ’22: “I am currently working for Financial Services Business Consulting Practice of EY. We believe the future of Finance is now and our team has been serving clients with projects in Financial Transformation, Global Business Services, and cross-domain transformation, focusing on their globalization process.”
