(SACRAMENTO, CA) - Music fans are in for a hyped night as rap icon Ja Rule takes the stage at the California State Fair on Friday, July 24, as part of the Toyota Concert Series on the Sky River Casino Stage.
Ja Rule’s signature blend of rap and melody helped shape the sound of early-2000s hip-hop and R&B. The award-winning rapper, actor, author, and entrepreneur, is known for chart-topping hits like the #1 single “Always on Time” with Ashanti. He has written for icons like Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez and earned accolades including a BET Award, NAACP Image Award, and MTV VMA.
His acting credits include The Fast and the Furious, Scary Movie, and Assault on Precinct 13. The co-founder of Amber & Opal Whiskey, he expanded the brand across the U.S., as well as launching ICONN Media, which includes ICONN Live and the ICONNIC Sound label. He also owns Rose Vine Cellars and is part-owner of the Texas Ranchers, with investments in Major League Pickleball and the National Thoroughbred League.
Ja Rule continues to engage fans while supporting causes like HBCUs and education in Ghana through Pencils of Promise.
