"Circulating Stamp Program" at Lyndon House Arts Center
Art lovers and collectors alike are invited to take part in a unique, interactive experience as part of this spring’s Circulating Stamp Project, an initiative designed to encourage exploration and engagement with Athens' thriving art scene.
This project, led by the Lyndon House Arts Center, offers visitors the chance to create a limited-edition print, designed by local artist Abigail West, while visiting 4 different art venues. The program continues through May 31, 2026.
The Circulating Stamp Project features a specially designed image of daffodils, the official flower of Athens. The image has been divided into four color layers, each transformed into a rubber stamp. These stamps will be placed at participating venues, allowing visitors to assemble the complete image by adding a layer of the print at each location. The participating venues are ATHICA (Athens Institute for Contemporary Art), Georgia Museum of Art, Lyndon House Arts Center, and Winterville Cultural Center Gallery.
Participants can begin their journey at any venue and collect stamped layers in any order. High-quality French Paper cardstock is available at each location. The final design, suitable for framing, sending as a postcard, or enjoying as a keepsake of Athens' vibrant art scene, won't be revealed until all stamped layers have been gathered.
Please check with each venue for their individual hours of operation, as they vary widely.
