Are You Ready to Ride the 2020 Retail Rollercoaster?
Independent grocers reported their same-store sales for the third week of January were significantly lower— 6.31 percent—than the same period last year. This week’s drop extends to foot traffic, with the consumer count also down by 3.71 percent.
What’s in store for 2020? That’s hard to predict. Yet, from the first weeks of the year, we can foresee a retail rollercoaster that most likely continues its ups and downs.
