Review your document (second page of I-20 or first page of DS-2019) to see if it has been signed for travel. A travel signature can be used for entry into the U.S. for one year from the day it was signed, provided that you remain enrolled full-time at Miami, your document has not expired, and your major has not changed.
If your major has recently changed, you may be wondering if you need to update your I-20 or DS-2019.
The answer depends on whether you will be traveling outside the United States in the near future:
If you are staying in the U.S., there is nothing you need to do at this time. ISSS will automatically update your electronic SEVIS record to reflect your change of major.
If you are leaving the U.S. for Thanksgiving or winter break travel, we should update your document. Please log in to InterLink and submit a travel signature request notifying us of the change in major. We will provide you with a new I-20 or DS-2019 that is signed for travel and notify you when it is ready for pick-up.
Question: If I fail one of my classes, does that mean I will be below full-time enrollment?
