Submit a Financial Disclosure |
To ensure research integrity and compliance, Tarleton State University requires investigators to disclose and manage any financial interests that could influence research activities.
Investigators must log into MAESTRO and submit Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) disclosures:
- Within 30 days of employment
- Within 30 days of acquiring a new Significant Financial Interest (SFI)
- Prior to participating in PHS-funded research
Disclosure Review: The COI Official reviews disclosures to determine whether a Significant Financial Interest (SFI) is related to the investigator’s research and constitutes a Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI).
Conflict Management: If an FCOI is identified, the COI Official will work with the investigator to develop a Management Plan outlining steps to manage, reduce, or eliminate the conflict and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Mandatory Federal Research Security Training Requirements for Senior or Key Personnel |
|
|
|
Federal research funding agencies continue to implement research security training (RST) requirements in accordance with the CHIPS and Science Act.
Covered individuals (CI - senior/key personnel) listed on the application for a research and development award are required to take the training in the 12 months prior to proposal submission.* The requirement is applicable to CI listed on applications submitted by any institution or organization regardless of type or funding level. Below is a schedule of federal agency RST implementation.

TAMUS Research Excellence Fund Internal Processes |
In response to the TAMUS Research Excellence Fund (REF) solicitation, RIED has developed the following webpage to provide Tarleton State researchers with the internal REF submission information and guidelines: https://www.tarleton.edu/research/tamus-research-excellence-fund-internal-submission-information/
Please note that Tarleton State University has a limit on the total number of proposal submissions and awarded projects we can receive. In order for RIED to review, approve and submit a proposal, an internal deadline has been set for each REF program.
We highly encourage you to strategically connect with your TAMUS colleagues for collaborative support on REF proposals external to Tarleton State's submissions. As needed, RIED is here to facilitate cross-institutional collaboration for Tarleton State faculty and researchers.
