The 2023-24 school calendar is here

Are you wanting to plan vacations for next year, but aren't sure what is on the official school calendar?

Well, good news, we recently wrapped up the final touches on the 2023-24 calendar, which can be found under the Family Resources section of the website here.

We love our teachers!

And we hope you do too.

The Parent Volunteer Network has been hard at work planning this event and sent out this schedule this week!

You can find the faculty and staff favorites document here, for ideas on what your favorite worker might like to eat or drink.

Spring Concert to have international flavor

The annual Spring Concert and Art Showcase will have an international flavor this year.

There will be a program at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 19 in the Douglas E. Bond Gymnasium featuring an Elementary Choral Concert, including scriptures and songs in other languages. There will also be a high school worship arts portion of the event and a multi-language reading of the gospel in 10 languages represented on our campus.

The arts showcase will also be on display on tables in and around the gymnasium, featuring the many different types of art produced by our students throughout the year.

The Multi-Language Learners Club will also have tables set up featuring items created that represent different countries.

This event is free and is something you do not want to miss.

Annual drama production is coming up

The Sound Christian Academy Drama Program has been hard at work preparing for the annual play and will present Our Town by Thornton Wilder in May.

Tickets are $5 each and are available at the door.

Per Wikipedia, Our Town is a three-act play created by American playwright Thornton Wilder in 1938. Described by Edward Albee as "the greatest American play ever written", it presents the fictional American town of Grover's Corners between 1901 and 1913 through the everyday lives of its citizens. It is an essential play about how we must embrace and appreciate the value of life itself.
