I hope you all had an enjoyable holiday season and that the New Year is off to a great start! This newsletter has a lot of information on events that are coming up and State 4-H opportunities. Be sure to check it all out!
If you are new to Door County 4-H - welcome, we are so happy you are here! This email newsletter is one of the main ways that I share information with Door County 4-H families, but you will also receive emails from 4HOnline occasionally with information. Door County 4-H Communications Contest |
The Door County 4-H Communications contest will take place on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Door County Government Center (421 Nebraska Street, Sturgeon Bay). Registrations are due by January 23rd, 2026. Please contact the Extension Office at (920)746-2260 or Candis Dart, 4-H Program Educator, at candis.dart@wisc.edu with any questions or concerns.

🍀 Level Up at Clover Con '26: The Ultimate Fantasy & Gaming Experience!
Calling all heroes, artists, and gamers in Grades 5–12! We’ve expanded Clover Con '26, and your quest begins this January. Join 4-H pros and expert volunteers for a four-week journey into the worlds of cosplay, crafting, and creativity. Registration closes January 15.

✨ The Quest Log:
Week 1: Character Origin Stories (Virtual/Zoom)
January 20 | Kick off your journey by building a legendary backstory with Alex and Peter Hintz. Then, start your costume blueprints with Outagamie Educator Dana Berger and meet your fellow adventurers!
Week 2: The Forge & The Field (In-Person – Winnebago County)
January 31 | It’s time to build! Bring your costume to life with expert help, master the art of archery with Kristina Poinek, and cook up Dragon Fire Flatbread with Sarah Feider. Plus, craft your own wands and accessories in our Makerspace!
Week 3: World Building (Virtual/Zoom)
February 3 | Design the realm you'll rule. Map out uncharted territories with Tracy Keifenheim and blueprint a massive cardboard kingdom with Jon Hill to be constructed in our final week.
Week 4: The Grand Finale (In-Person – Brown County)
February 14 | Bring your blueprints to life! Develop Leathercraft skills with volunteer Rob Funk and refuel with world-famous Harry Potter Meat Pies and magic potion fizz. Celebrate your creations with a final makerspace session and community sharing!

Super Saturday - Instructors Needed! |
|
|
Super Saturday will be held on Saturday, March 21st, 2026. The purpose of this event is to give 4-H youth the opportunity to try a variety of different projects. Do you have a project idea that you would like to lead during our Super Saturday program? We are looking for people to volunteer to lead (or help lead) projects during the Super Saturday event. Step into the Livestock Reality Store!
Date: Saturday, March 14
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center
Whether you’ve never shown an animal before or you’re a seasoned exhibitor, the Livestock Reality Store is for you! This interactive simulation gives you a real-world look at what it takes to raise and sell a show animal—from start to finish.
What to expect:
New to livestock? Learn the basics of daily care, costs, and record-keeping so you can start your first project with confidence.
Already experienced? Dive deeper into financial management and decision-making to make your next project more profitable and efficient.
Everyone walks away with practical skills to make your livestock project make dollars and sense!
This event is open to both members and non-members.

Want to learn some new community service or engaging, fun activities for your club? Have an idea your club would like to share? Join in the Clover Connect idea sharing zooms this spring!
Two engaging, interactive topics are planned:
Hands to Larger Service: Community Service Ideas
Sunday, Feb 22 at 7 p.m. & Monday, Feb 23 at Noon (same content will be repeated)
Making 4-H Meetings Fun: Bringing Laughter and Learning to 4-H Meetings
Sunday, Mar 22 at 7 p.m. & Monday, Mar 23 at Noon (same content will be repeated)
The sessions will include information sharing, hands-on learning, and time to share ideas with other older youth leaders and adult volunteers from across the state!
