Climate and the environment have become one of the most pressing issues of our time, and one that will affect generations to come. In this month’s letter, Dean Geer explains how the innovative new major in climate studies was developed, and how Vanderbilt was uniquely positioned to make it happen.

We are excited to announce the launch of our new climate studies major, one of the first in the country to integrate the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences to help students understand climate change, its challenges, and possible solutions. The major will be offered starting Fall 2022.
