Good morning! Clemson has earned top marks from Niche, including best college in the state. Weeks of Welcome programming focuses on helping students find community and support this week; The Extension Emerging Leadership Initiative announced the members of its fifth cohort.

What to know today:

Clemson University was named the Best College in South Carolina in Niche‘s 2026 Best College Rankings, earning top marks for Best Academics, Best Professors and Best College Athletics among all universities in the Palmetto State. Clemson also received recognition for top-ranked academic areas and degree programs across the University.

Weeks of Welcome continue this week with a focus on "Calling Clemson Home," helping students find community, learn to navigate conflict and build a strong support network. Events include resource fairs, Athletics events and Clemson Home's Welcome Home Fair for students on Wednesday.

Clemson fans cheer Clemson flags running into Memorial Stadium on a football gameday.

Clemson Football kicks off the 2025 season this Saturday. Additional enhancements to the football gameday experience include cashless transactions at concessions, handrails in the lower deck and more. The full Gameday Guide will be shared in Our Clemson later this week.

The Extension Emerging Leadership Initiative (EELI) has announced the members of its fifth cohort, a dynamic group of aspiring leaders representing a variety of program teams, specializations and regions across the state.

The Clemson Center for Geospatial Technologies (CCGT) hosts a GIS Fundamentals Workshop series throughout the fall for faculty, staff and students. These free, online workshops provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with GIS concepts, software, and techniques. Registration is required to attend each workshop.
