Travel Oregon's Draft Strategic Plan Open for Comment

Travel Oregon’s 2022-2031 Draft Transformational Strategic Plan is currently open for public comment. Comments must be submitted by February 21 at 5 p.m.

In early 2021, in response to a tourism economy facing continuing challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, climate crisis and more, Travel Oregon set out to transform the role of tourism in Oregon. We understood that true recovery doesn’t mean a return to the way things were. It means pushing ourselves to find creative and meaningful ways to re-grow, turning loss and uncertainty into an opportunity to come back stronger than ever.

The transformational plan is designed to be a high-level, 10-year strategy—one that is a crucial response to adapt our mission to meet the most timely and significant opportunities and needs of our residents, industry and visitors. We invite you to join us on this journey of transformation and are looking forward to any comments you may have during this draft iteration.

The public hearing on the plan will take place during the virtual Oregon Tourism Commission Meeting, February 15.

    Governor's Conference Update

The 2022 Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Sunriver is a mere six weeks away, March 14-16.  We are excited to announce Amy Wolff will be joining us to help kick off Oregon’s Travel & Tourism Achievement Awards on March 14, and will also be offering an engaging breakout session, Insider Speaking Tips from a TEDx Speaker Coach. Leave this session knowing the number one reason a talk (or presentation) succeeds or fails. Learn the best way to win over your audience whether it’s on a stage, across a boardroom table, interviewing or at a networking event. Also understand how to prepare for those opportunities. While you may never stand in the spotlight on the iconic TED red rug, your ideas (and how well you present them) matter.
A detailed agenda with speaker information and networking time is being finalized and will be shared as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you in Central Oregon.

New: External Funding and Grant Opportunities

To help us keep up with the open application windows across the state, please submit opportunities via this form that you would like shared on the Travel Oregon industry website and through the industry newsletter.

Opportunities submitted through the form will be reviewed and curated prior to being published on the page.
