Learning By Teaching Studies show that when students actually teach the content of a lesson, they develop a deeper and longer-lasting understanding of the material than students who do not teach it. Learning by teaching can also help improve student efficacy, confidence, and communication skills.
The past two weeks, Middle School Spanish students came to kindergarten and first grade to teach lessons on numbers and location words. Our seventh graders and second graders also teamed up to do a joint science lab on matter, chemical reactions, and the scientific method -- all made possible by being ONE.TOGETHER! Mr. Gregg was excited to take part in the experiments as well.
Check out our Media Gallery to view photos of all the exciting learning taking place at St M!
