I wanted to send a word of praise for the gentleman who came to pick up our oversized pallet from our work control ticket. He checked in to make sure he was collecting the correct item and asked if we needed any other recycling. He checked our recycle bins and cardboard to make sure we were in good shape! We are so grateful for the thoroughness he provided. - April Nero, Print Services

On Monday, April 8th, we had a pipe burst in the McMorran House which caused massive flooding in the kitchen and basement laundry room. To complicate the issue further, the Governor of Oregon was scheduled to attend dinner at the house that same evening at 6:00 p.m. This was certainly a high-profile event we did not want to fumble on at the last minute. We had spent weeks planning every detail of the event, and catering was due to arrive by 3:45 p.m. that day to start preparing the food. Not having water for food prep (and restrooms) was NOT an option.
Thankfully, Nick and Ron were on-site to turn a potential disaster into a WIN for everyone involved! Both men acted quickly and were very knowledgeable in how to fix the multiple issues that were causing the flooding. They kept me posted on the ETA for final repairs that day (allowing us to turn the water back on and make restrooms available). I, in turn, was reporting back to the President, the First Lady and my management to keep them apprised of the situation in case we had to develop a PLAN B for the Governor’s dinner. Fortunately, Nick and Ron handled everything swiftly and water flow was restored by 1:30 p.m. They also showed me the two locations of the main water valves on the property in case I ever needed to turn them off in an emergency. I really appreciated this, and I showed the First Lady the locations as well.
Thank you again for your team’s support. Nick and Ron stayed calm, cool and collected and the Governor’s dinner went off without a hitch at 6 p.m. She reported that she had a lovely time and the meal was better than anything she’d ever been served in a restaurant. Please let Nick and Ron know how much I appreciated their support. - Amy Messner, McMorran House
