YOU’RE INVITED: Film Industry Legislative Preview Event
OF+MO, the Oklahoma City Film & Creative Industries Office, the Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts & Culture and the Cherokee Film Commission, invite you to attend a Legislative Preview Event for film industry members this Friday, February 7, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Oklahoma City’s Innovation Hall, located at 316 NE 9th St. With welcoming remarks from Oklahoma’s Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell, this event will featured a panel featuring film commission representatives alongside state leaders who will preview new data regarding the economic impact of Oklahoma’s film and television industry, followed by a reception for continued networking and fellowship.

SAVE THE DATE: Film and Music Day at the Capitol
Join us Tuesday, April 1, for Film and Music Day at the Oklahoma Capitol! Film and music professionals will gather to highlight these industries for state legislators. The come-and-go event will include interactive booths and demonstrations taking place on the second floor rotunda of the Oklahoma State Capitol Building. This event is FREE and open to the public, legislators, staff members and film and music professionals. Mark your calendars and look for more information to come!

Cody Mayo Studios Presents Film & TV Acting Conservatory Intensive
Cody Mayo Studios is offering a Film and TV Acting Conservatory Intensive on Saturday, April 26, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. at Cody Mayo Studios in Tulsa. For beginners and seasoned vets alike, this class is geared to provide participants a more truthful way of approaching the craft of acting, while also instilling preparedness for work in a professional set environment.

SixTwelve Offers Music Residencies

SixTwelve, a community center that provides creative and sustainable educational opportunities, invites Oklahoma music artists to apply for their Contemporary Music Residency Program. Three different types of residencies are available across songwriting, mixing/mastering/recording and performance. Applications are open until October 19.

Film Friendly: On the Road + Virtual Engagements
OF+MO is seeking to engage with leadership among statewide cities, towns, counties and tribal nations to promote the Oklahoma Film Friendly Community Program and learn more about each community’s structure and development plans. Over the last two months, OF+MO liaised with leadership representing the Cities of Purcell, Norman and Oklahoma City as well as Cleveland County and the Fort Sill Apache tribe.
