2017 FEDERAL TECH/CYBER HIRING EVENT – Nov. 6-7, Silver Spring, MD
The federal government is seeking top information technology and cybersecurity talent to fill critical skills gaps. Data architects, computer scientists, cyber analysts, engineers, mathematicians, and project managers are needed to defend the nation’s infrastructure, deliver digital services to the American people, and modernize the federal government’s IT systems and operations.
More than 20 federal agencies—including HHS—will recruit, interview and hire applicants on the spot, in a streamlined hiring process. Additionally, participants will have access to free training seminars that will cover resume writing, interviewing, and applying to federal government jobs. Webinars on these topics will also be made available to applicants prior to the event.

Unpaid Spring Internships
The Institute for National Strategic Studies (INSS) at the National Defense University (NDU) in Washington, D.C. is now accepting applications for its Spring Semester 2018 Internship Program. We would like your assistance in advertising this program to current undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates, who are U.S. citizens.
INSS is a collection of Department of Defense research centers established in 1984. The mission of the Institute for National Strategic Studies (INSS) is to conduct research in support of the academic and leader development programs at NDU, and to provide strategic support to the Secretary of Defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Unified Combatant Commands.
INSS includes the following Centers: the Center for Strategic Research (CSR), the Center for the Study of Chinese Military Affairs (CSCMA), the Center for Complex Operations (CCO), and the National Defense University Press (NDU Press).   
We offer unpaid internships in a variety of areas pertaining to national security and international affairs. All INSS interns provide substantive research assistance to our Senior Fellows and Staff, as well as have the opportunity to participate in Defense Department and Interagency meetings and events.   
Application requirements include submission of a cover letter, resume and 2-3 page writing sample. The application deadline for the Spring Semester 2018 Internship is November 27, 2017. All applications should be sent to INSS_Intern_Program@ndu.edu. We welcome applications from students receiving credit for internships or concurrently enrolled in courses and are happy to accommodate those schedules. Part-time and Full-time internships (not to exceed 32 hours per week) are available. ALL INTERNSHIPS ARE UNPAID AND REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP.

START's Spring Internship Program is fast approaching at 11:59 pm on Sunday, November 5th! Please feel free to share the following information with students and other contacts who you think may be interested in these opportunities.
We are looking for interns with a wide array of skills and majors  (including but not limited to: Criminology, Communications, Government, International Relations, Public Policy, History, GIS, Geography, Economics, English, Mathematics, Psychology, Languages and Statistics). Students from any institution may apply and we will consider current and recently graduated undergraduates and graduates as well. In addition to the experience gained during their internship, interns will also receive mentoring, training and are able to participate in a calendar of professional development activities. START is also willing to work with academic institutions to enable students to undertake our internships for credit. Our internships are unpaid and students must be able to undertake their work hours at START at the University of Maryland College Park, unless stated in the internship description.

Unpaid Agri-Business Internship at the World Bank
Note: This is an unpaid internship from January to May 2018. Candidates will have to obtain academic credit or funding from university for the duration of the internship in order to qualify.
