University Staff Council Meeting: Feb. 20 |
Staff are encouraged to attend the next University Staff Council (USC) meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 1:30 p.m. in person at the General Services Complex (GSC), room 101 or via Zoom. The vision of the USC is to help staff feel supported, included and valued at Texas A&M University, where we live the Aggie Core Values of Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect and Selfless Service. Join us to learn more about what the USC is doing for you and share your input.

Common Ground Series Returns |
Julie Mosbo Ballestro, university librarian and assistant provost, led off our Common Ground series as the first speaker for 2024. At the Jan. 16 USC meeting we learned more about the libraries at Texas A&M and how they support faculty, staff and students across the university through a variety of research, instructional and technology resources like Get it for Me, AskUs for Help, Suggest a Purchase, the University Writing Center, Patent and Trademark Resource Center and more. Join us at the Feb. 20 USC meeting to hear from Dr. Susan Ballabina, chief of staff for the president.

Created to help members of the Aggie Family in need, the Staff Emergency Fund (SEF) provides limited financial assistance to staff members of Texas A&M experiencing a temporary hardship due to a significant life event. You may donate in a number of ways to support the SEF.

The Texas A&M University Police Department (UPD) offers training in personal safety, active shooter response and Stop the Bleed®. For additional details and to schedule a training for your respective division, department or unit, contact Sgt. Josh Deleon via email.
In addition to workplace training, UPD offers child safety seat checks. Contact Officer Desiree Donovan to learn more about this service and to schedule a child safety seat check.

This conference presents an opportunity for educational professionals and administrative and support staff to learn and grow in a forum that provides quality professional development in areas of leadership, technology and certification.
