As mentioned above, property tax relief continues to be a major issue in the General Assembly; in the second half of the legislative session, the House will have its say in the amended version of Senate Bill 1 and Governor Braun will continue to make the case for tighter controls on the annual growth of individual tax bills.

As noted in last week’s Capitol and Market, NAR's 2026 committee application website opens on March 3rd and closes on May 15th. If you don’t already represent Indiana on an NAR committee, please consider investing your time and expertise at the national level.  If you already serve, check your committee term – if your term expires in 2025, you must submit a 2026 application to be considered for reappointment. (Those with continued multi-year appointments do not need to reapply.)
