October is Filipino American History Month, a time to celebrate the rich heritage, culture, and contributions of the Filipino American community. Join us throughout the month as we honor the legacy and achievements of Filipino Americans, both past and present, through a variety of events, workshops, and activities. On September 27, students, faculty, and staff came together for a one-mile walk around campus to promote suicide awareness. Prior to the walk, a brief ceremony featured keynote speaker Joshua Rivedal, founder of Changing Minds: A Mental Health Based Curriculum and The i'Mpossible Project. Joshua's inspiring message encouraged open dialogue and provided critical resources for mental health awareness.

Irvine Valley College proudly celebrated AANAPISI Week, recognizing our designation as an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution. Throughout the week, our college community participated in a variety of events that highlighted the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of the AANHPI community.  It was an inspiring week filled with learning, reflection, and community-building as we continue to embrace and support the success of all our students. Professor of English Kurt Meyer recently received a pin acknowledging his 20 years of service as IVC’s Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) chapter advisor. President Hernandez and Dean of Liberal Arts Brooke Bui presented Professor Meyer with the pin last month. Read More »

Fiesta Gourmet’s menu features a variety of delicious options, including tacos, burritos, quesadillas, fries, and nachos with your choice of meats like steak, chicken, and shrimp.
