TexMed 2026 is TMA’s premier annual conference. The conference offers opportunities to connect with physician leaders, learn from informative presentations, and earn CME—including a featured keynote address. It’s also where TMA annually develops and approves its policy in its 400-plus member House of Delegates. Between sessions, enjoy exploring the Expo Hall, which will feature a new Tech Village showcasing the latest innovations in augmented intelligence and other cutting-edge technology tools. This year's conference will be held in Corpus Christi.

Policy Making 101: Learn How to Make a Difference

Join your colleagues on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:00 PM for a virtual educational session.

This interactive virtual program will explore policy making best practices including:

define a resolution;
evaluate a resolution (weak or strong);
discuss what items are part of TMA's scope of work; and
discuss what happens to a resolution once it goes to the House of Delegates.

Continuing Medical Education
The Texas Medical Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. TMA designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ with 1 ethics credit. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The Texas Medical Association designates this activity for up to 1 hour in the area of ethics and/or professional responsibility education.

Registration is now open for the 2026 AMPAC Candidate Workshop, held in person April 17–19 at the AMA offices in Washington, DC. This intensive, bipartisan program equips physicians and future physician‑leaders with the skills to run a successful political campaign—from messaging and fundraising to media and grassroots strategy. Open to AMA members, spouses, residents, medical students, and state medical society staff. Space is limited; register by March 20.

Registration fee is $250 for AMA Members/spouses and $1,000 for non-AMA members. This fee is waived for AMA residents and students; however, space is limited and the AMPAC Board will review and select four participants from the pool of qualified resident and student applicants.

Faculty, materials, and all meals during the meeting are covered by the AMA. Participants are responsible for their registration fee, travel to/from Washington, DC and hotel accommodations (AMA will provide you with a list of nearby hotels within walking distance of the AMA offices).

Participants will be required to bring a laptop or Wi-Fi enabled tablet with them.
