Texas Tech College of Human Sciences E-Viewpoints

September 2016

Friend,
Welcome to the latest issue of E-Viewpoints. Last month, we welcomed nearly 600 new Red Raiders to the College of Human Sciences. These students will benefit from the teaching and expertise of our talented and caring faculty and staff.
As the world continues to get smaller, providing opportunities for our students to have an international experience is increasingly important. Last summer, the College of Human Sciences facilitated studies abroad in locations across the globe including Apparel Design and Manufacturing classes in London; Nutritional Sciences classes in South Africa and Germany; Personal Financial Planning classes in Prague; and Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences studies in Prague. In the photo above you can see me, Instructor Allison Childress and Instructor Shelby Kloiber visiting an organic farm in Munich with a Sports Nutrition class where we participated in a cooking course and prepared nutritionally sound traditional German dishes. I also toured Cesky Krumlov, a medieval village in southern Czech Republic, with students from the Center for Collegiate Recovery Communities.
I hope you will enjoy reading more in this newsletter about the wonderful things happening in your College. I know our alumni and friends are doing great work, and we want to hear about it. Please keep in touch through your preferred social media platform or by using this form. I look forward to hearing from you.
