Earlier this month, IUP kicked off the Crimson Scholars Circle, a new program designed to reduce the retention and persistence gap for Black and Brown students. See photos from the Crimson Scholars’ first week on campus.

Best Value Schools, a national rankings company, has rated IUP’s Master of Business Administration program first among MBA programs in Pennsylvania. In addition to cost, editors praised the program’s personalized education, flexible schedule, and range of concentrations.
IUP will test its emergency notification system Thursday at 10:00 a.m. This check will include text and email messages, phone calls, and desktop alerts.
Students are invited to audition tonight or Thursday evening in Cogswell Hall for the fall production of Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. Contact Oliver Lo at slo@iup.edu.
Try out for this theater company’s first Mainstage show of the season, the comedy The Inseparables, by Pittsburgh’s T. J. Young. Memorize a brief monologue and arrange an audition between 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. Thursday in Waller Hall.
Richard Caruso, a 1983 IUP accounting graduate and former Foundation for IUP board president, recently added $50,000 to a scholarship he established in 2017 in honor of his parents. Caruso’s gift, which benefits IUP freshmen, was part of the Imagine Unlimited campaign.
