We are a month into the IT Strategic Alignment, and I want to give a big thank you to everyone on campus who has participated in this alignment, whether through feedback or collaboration.
To start off this month’s alignment update, below I have listed the first set of initiatives mentioned in the September kick off email and the status of each.
- Update to Ticketing System:
Design sessions began with a consulting firm and the team is now halfway through the review. New servers to support this project are in the process of being created.
- Develop Service and Product Catalog:
Our team completed an audit to verify services and products offered by Information Technology, along with a survey of frequently used services. Work has begun to create an easy to use catalog of services and products available to campus. - Redefine and Streamline Technology Acquisitions:
Our teams are working with the Procurement Office to develop and define a new and efficient technology acquisition process that aligns with state security and accessibility requirements. Work to automate the new process will begin soon with a planned completion date tentatively set for July 2023.
