Tick tock:
Time waits for no one
As the days grow gloriously warmer and spring continues its metamorphosis from lion to lamb, we're reminded that our registration will soon close. You have until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, to secure your seat in this blockbuster of a milestone, our 25th anniversary semester.

Easy peasy

Dig out those lanyards

For those attending in-person classes, the hunt is on! You haven't used your lanyard and name badge much the past two years, but you certainly know exactly where to find it. Right? The great lanyard hunt of 2022 begins. If the junk drawer and every other "secure" place fail to reveal yours, feel free to email ILR for a replacement.
Remember, tied finger

Remember

All classes held on the Oxford campus require a vehicle parking pass. The visitor pass is now electronic—no paper pass required. Parking is permitted in the lots circled in blue on the map that displays after you complete the pass request. If you missed the map, simply submit your request again. If you haven't yet requested your pass, you must have it in place before your first Oxford campus class. If you need the pass request link, please email the ILR office.
**IMPORTANT** Covid-19 Update
As cases continue to decline locally and across the country, Miami University continually updates its policies to match CDC guidelines as it relates to community risk levels for Butler County. Currently, masks are no longer required indoors campus-wide. If you prefer to continue to wear a mask, you are encouraged to do so. Did you know that all ILR classes continue to have reduced enrollment maximums to allow for social distancing?

Get a grip

As in luggage. It's time to get out and travel once again. Back by popular demand, we'll again be offering The Chautauqua Experience, September 11-16, 2022Since it began as an educational experiment in 1874, Chautauqua Institution has grown into a mecca for lifelong learners. Situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Chautauqua in western New York, the Chautauqua Institution is known for its bustling summer season. This unique Chautauqua experience takes place in the “off-season” of fall and spring, and it lets you and your fellow lifelong learners have the grounds mostly to yourself. Enjoy exclusive Road Scholar courses while staying on the institution’s peaceful, scenic grounds. During your stay, explore exciting themes such as art, music, literature, science, politics, religion, and more. ILR Special Events Committee members Bob and Marilyn Johnson attended the 2021 Chautauqua and reported it was a wonderful experience. They are ILR's Road Scholar liaisons and are available to answer your questions via email at rjohnson2@woh.rr.com. Get ready for the educational opportunity of a lifetime! Learn more...

Call for proposals

Although what's pictured isn't quite the proposal we had in mind, we'll love your course proposal just as much. While the spring semester isn't yet underway, we're actively planning for fall 2022 and will be accepting course proposalsdiamonds optional—until May 2nd. Everyone has a passion, hobby, profession, or skill worth sharing. Submit your ILR fall 2022 course proposal. Chances are, the answer will be yes!

Tech team
Hall of Fame worthy
They've been in spring training for months, but they won't see a parade, cheerleaders, or even a pep rally in their honor. Yet they'll continue to be the reason for ILR's virtual success. Supporting our instructors and students, you'll see at least one ILR Tech Team member in each of our spring virtual and hybrid classes (possibly our in-person classes, too). Our team this semester includes Paul Allen, Rowen Creech, Charles Ganelin, Judy Macke, Joe Macke, Sante Matteo, Jerry Riesenberg, Mike Ruther, Tom Schaber, Rob Schorman, Robin Seaver, and Pat Sidley. They make it all look so easy. Be sure to give them a virtual high five. Yay team!
