Activities include ornament making, cookie decorating and a hot chocolate bar. And bring the kids to our final Fall Quarter Crafternoon tomorrow (12/12, 3:30–4:30) and receive a prize.

| Master's Advance Internship Program Info Session

Master’s students in the Divinity School and the Arts and Humanities Division are invited to learn how they can receive funding ($6000) for self-designed internships through UChicagoGRAD’s Advance Internship Program. The program is open to domestic and international students. Internships may take place anywhere in the world.

| O'Hare Shuttle Service
Graduate Council Holiday Express: Your One-Way Ticket from Finals (and Back!)
Heading to O'Hare this holiday season? Reserve a seat on the Graduate Council Holiday Express! This Winter Break, Graduate Council is excited to offer a new pilot program of free shuttles between campus and O'Hare. Whether you're planning to make the trek to O'Hare after finals, in the new year, or both, board the Graduate Council Holiday Express to make your travel a breeze! Shuttles will run from campus to O'Hare December 12–14 and December 19–20, and from O'Hare to campus on January 3–4. Tickets are required, as seats are limited. Tickets from campus to O'Hare are available Thursday, December 11, at 5:30 pm. Tickets from O'Hare to campus are available Friday, December 12, at 5:30 pm. Graduate Council's Event Fund Deadline is Approaching
Planning something big for the Winter Quarter? Graduate Council’s Event Fund can provide up to $2,000 to support interdivisional academic, professional, or social events. Round 1 applications are due Friday, December 12, at 5:00 p.m. and will support events taking place in the Winter Quarter. Funding is competitive and not guaranteed, so propose a realistic budget and timeline.

Reduced Hours and Closures

Library Winter Interim Hours & Winter Recess: Starting Saturday, December 13, campus libraries will have reduced hours for the winter interim. All library buildings will be closed December 25–January 1 for Winter Recess. All libraries will reopen Friday, January 2 except the Social Work Library, which will reopen January 5.

Graduate Student Lounge: The lounge will be closed Monday, December 22 through Friday, January 2.

Winter 2025 C.A.R.E.S. Supplemental Meal Support
Through C.A.R.E.S. – Community Action Reaching Every Student – UChicago Dining, Chartwells H.E., and various UChicago campus offices ensure that students who may face hunger or opt to skip meals during academic breaks have access to food. If you anticipate experiencing food insecurity during Winter Break, please fill out the short survey and you will receive more details about a winter break supplemental grocery distribution event.
