Career Opportunity: Future Faculty Job Search Academy
|
This workshop is open to graduate students and postdoctoral scholars interested in higher education careers. The Future Faculty Job Search Academy will prepare you for a unique academic job search experience. Participants will plan their academic job search strategy and create drafts of their entire job search packet including CV, cover letter, and teaching and research statements. Student Employee Onboarding Event
|
The Administrative Services Center (ASC) is hosting the annual Student Employee Onboarding Event on Aug. 14 – 16 at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (across from Exhibition Hall). The event is for all newly hired graduate and undergraduate student employees and rehires who have not worked at Georgia Tech in the last two years who need assistance completing their in-person onboarding requirements.

Funding Opportunity: Georgia Tech Pathbreakers Fellowship Program
|
The Pathbreakers Fellows Program provides exceptional STEM Ph.D. students with an opportunity to expand their mentoring network, enhance professional skills, and receive additional financial support during their Ph.D. program.
The program is sponsored by the Georgia Tech President's Office. It was previously sponsored by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation as a part of the University Center of Exemplary Mentoring (UCEM) program.

Presidential Management Fellows Program
|
The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program is administered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. The PMF Program is a flagship leadership development program at the entry level for advanced degree candidates. The PMF program provides some sustenance during the first years of employment and encourages leadership development, ultimately encouraging and leading to a career in the government. The PMF Class of 2025 The application opens at 12:00 p.m. Eastern, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, and closes at 12: 00 p.m. Eastern, on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024.

The Rowland Institute at Harvard seeks outstanding early-career experimentalists in all fields of science and engineering. The Rowland Fellowship provides an interdisciplinary and interactive environment, fostering the pursuit of innovative research. To qualify, applicants must have received, or expect to receive, their PhDs between May 2023 and Fall 2025. The selection process includes a symposium series of talks by finalists in November 2024, and final selections will be completed in December 2024. The application deadline for the Rowland Fellows Program is August 16, 2024.

Wellness Opportunity: Open Enrollment for Student Health Insurance Program (SHIP)
|
The enrollment/waiver period for Georgia Tech’s Student Health Insurance Program (SHIP) provided by Stamps Health Services opened on July 22 and closes on September 27. This program is available for enrolled undergraduate and graduate students and their eligible dependents who do not already have insurance and includes comprehensive covered benefits (medical, dental, vision, prescription, and worldwide travel).
