As we reflect on 2025, one thing is abundantly clear: this year would not have been possible without you.
Because of your generosity, The Kearney Center continued to provide safety, dignity, and hope to our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Your support helped ensure access to essential resources, stable shelter, and compassionate care, meeting people where they are and walking alongside them on their path toward stability and independence.
Every gift given in 2025 played a meaningful role in strengthening our community. You are part of the reason individuals found support during their most vulnerable moments, and why our mission continues to move forward with purpose and heart.
Your belief in this work makes a real and lasting difference. Whether through financial contributions, advocacy, or simply staying connected to our mission, you are helping create a community where everyone is treated with compassion and respect.
As we look ahead, I want to share a few highlights from 2025.
New Board Members: We welcomed four new members to our Board of Directors:

- Scott Kearney
- Chad Heckman
- James (Jimmy) Mernick

| Doctors United Opening: We opened the Doctors United clinic on-site at The Kearney Center, bringing free essential medical services directly to the community.
|

|
|
Table of Hope: We hosted Table of Hope and helped create an evening filled with connection, compassion, and community spirit, benefitting The Kearney Center.
|
|
|
|
Blue Jeans & Bourbon: Our annual fundraiser was a resounding success, capped off by a special moment honoring Rick Kearney, the driving force behind The Kearney Center, who received recognition from the City of Tallahassee and Leon County.
|
|
|
|
The Longest Night: We hosted The Longest Night to honor and remember those who lost their lives to homelessness in 2025, symbolized by the empty table and place settings representing each life lost.
|
|
|
We are inspired by what is possible because of people like you. Together, we can continue to build pathways toward hope, healing, and independence for those we serve.
