Zoom to Teams Transition Coming June 1
Effective June 1, KU will stop the auto-provision of licenses to Zoom, reduce the use, and complete the transition to Microsoft Teams Meetings for online meetings and classes. Microsoft Teams is already our software of choice for voice calls, instant messaging, and collaboration at KU. By making this change, we will capitalize on our longstanding partnership with Microsoft and reduce a significant cost. To prepare for this change, we will provide resources, support, and communications to ensure a smooth transition to Microsoft Teams Meetings.

Reminders from College Undergraduate Academic Services
|
-
Degree Certification for undergraduates will commence on May 26 and Orientation Headquarters will run throughout the Summer. Please keep in mind that during this time College Degree Analysts may have questions regarding a student applicant’s major, minor, or certificate requirements or permission numbers that require a departmental response. We kindly ask that a departmental contact be available during degree certification and orientation, as we may call upon the point of contact to approve an exception or other issue.
|
- For academic advisors and departmental faculty, please submit any remaining substitutions or waivers for students who have applied to graduate for Spring 2026 as soon as possible – the degree list will be submitted June 12.
|
-
For all course instructors, please keep in mind that if an incomplete grade is assigned for the current semester (May 22 submission deadline) that any incomplete grade assigned to a student graduating this semester will require coursework to be graded before June 12 for the student to use the course(s) toward graduation requirements in Spring 2026. If the student is unable to complete the work by that time, they will have to defer graduation to a future term.
