Congratulations to two of our research fellows, who were recognized with Honorable Mentions for the William W. Parmley Young Author Achievement Award. The award recognizes outstanding first-author publications by trainees in JACC. The winners will be announced at the JACC Journals Reception on Sunday, March 29.

Daniel Johnson, BA, who received Honorable Mention for the William W. Parmley Young Author Achievement Award. Working at the Smith Center for Outcomes Research with faculty mentor Rishi Wadhera, MD, Daniel’s manuscript, Heart Failure Care and Outcomes After Private Equity Acquisition of U.S. Hospitals, was published in JACC in 2025.

Hyeok-Hee Lee, MD, received Honorable Mention for the William W. Parmley Young Author Achievement Award. Working at the Smith Center for Outcomes Research with faculty mentor Eric Secemsky, MD, Dr. Lee's manuscript, Trends in Prevalence, Treatment, and Control of Cardiometabolic Risk Factors Among Adults With Hypertension in the United States, 1999-2023, was published in JACC in 2025.

Kim Guibone, DNP, APRN, FACC, will be presented with the 2026 Distinguished Cardiovascular Team Member award by the American College of Cardiology in honor of her exceptional contributions to the cardiovascular profession. The Distinguished CV Team Member is awarded to a non-physician member whose outstanding contributions to College initiatives and the field of cardiology have encouraged and nurtured the ACC's team approach to cardiovascular care.
