From the Department Chair
Dear Alumni, Friends and Supporters:
This October, we celebrated the 35th anniversary of the Department of Marketing at Clemson University! It was so fun seeing marketing alumni back in Tigertown, especially at our Homecoming tailgate. Thank you for your generous donations commemorating our anniversary year and your continued support of our students and faculty. Marketing is the fastest-growing department in the largest college on Clemson’s campus!
We have many exciting things happening, including welcoming a new M.S. Marketing cohort and several new faculty members this Fall. This year students are ‘all in’ for our offerings that allow them to take what they’re learning in the classroom and apply it in actual business settings. In May, we relaunched our Gateways to New York summer course, where students spent a week in NYC visiting companies to learn about marketing strategy in those organizations. Our Student Advisory Board hosted marketing students on an industry trip to Atlanta, and the Sales Innovation Program launched its new Ascent Track, which allows students to start taking part in SIP professional development activities as early as their first year on campus. We hope you enjoy reading about what we’ve been up to and connecting with us in other ways in 2023! Go Tigers! Thank you!
Jennifer Siemens, Ph.D.
