Walsh University is hosting three events this week in celebration of Black History Month sponsored by Multicultural Affairs, Black Student Union, Pre-Law Club and Campus Police. Tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 6 p.m., campus and community leaders will lead the University in the Community Impact Forum: Policing in America, a discussion on American law enforcement and its impact on college students. Join the important discussion in the Barrette Business and Community Center, Rooms B and C. Soul Food Sunday, on Sunday, Feb. 26, is a University tradition featuring food, performances and fellowship from 4-6 p.m. in the Barrette Business and Community Center, Rooms A, B, and C. Dr. James Falter, Director of the MBA Program and Associate Professor of Finance, recently contributed to an article in the Canton Repository: Stark County's economy grew in 2021, slightly below pre-pandemic levels. Read More

A big thank you to everyone who participated in the poster presentations to the Board of Directors last Friday. It was well received, and the Board was thoroughly impressed with all the great work happening on campus.

Don’t miss the Winter Concert Band performance this Friday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m., in the Toot Global Learning Center. The performance will feature the Walsh Concert Band and Walsh World Music Ensemble. Music will include standard wind band literature and traditional music from Africa.

A group of nursing faculty representing Walsh University are taking the Portage Lakes Polar Bear Jump this Saturday, Feb. 25, for a great cause! Wearing only these superhero capes and Walsh t-shirts over their swimsuits, they will jump in the frigid water at the Portage Lakes State Park! Though it has been unseasonably warm lately, it is going to be in the low 40’s this weekend. The event raises funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio and Rotary Camp Akron for children with special needs. Read More
