Nominations are open for the Spring 2026 Outstanding Senior Awards.
The Outstanding Senior Awards honors six students, each of whom will receive $250. One of those students will also be selected for a Distinguished Graduate Award and receive an additional $250.
Distinguished Graduating Seniors will speak at Commencement.
The nomination deadline is Friday, Feb. 27.

Student Leader Named Finalist for Miss Fiesta 2026
|
Caroleena Mancilla is a finalist for Miss Fiesta 2026, a titleholder who serves as a goodwill ambassador for one of San Antonio’s most cherished traditions. A first-generation biology student, Mancilla is the 2025–2026 Student Government Association president. The Fiesta San Antonio Foundation will officially crown Miss Fiesta on January 29 - we are cheering her on!

| VIA Launches Daily Bus Service to University, Easing Commutes for Campus Community
|
Commuting to campus just got easier as VIA Metropolitan Transit has launched a new daily bus route that connects downtown to the South Side, including the University, with a stop on Jaguar Parkway. With an A&M-San Antonio ID, employees and students ride for free on VIA buses and VIA LINK, an on-demand ride-sharing van service.

Student Conference Travel Request |
The Student Affairs office is currently accepting funding requests for student conference travel. Funding is available for the 2025–2026 academic year and will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each student is eligible to receive funding once per academic year, with a maximum award of up to $500. All requests must be submitted at least three weeks prior to travel date.
