Dear Traveler,

There’s something special about the end of the summer. The long slow afternoons. The deep green of the forests. The inviting coolness of the mountain streams. The slightest hint of coming autumn in the breeze. It’s been an uncommon season for all of us. It has also been a beautiful one in Transylvania County, no matter where you go to take in the scenery. Fall, which is just around the corner, promises even more stunning sights.

Believe it or not, there are other things afoot outside of finding a quiet (or not so quiet) spot and basking in the natural splendor. There are special events –  real, honest-to-goodness live music, wonderful art, and new opportunities to pitch in and keep Brevard and its surroundings as magical as they’ve ever been.  As always, visitors are encouraged to keep abreast of updated Travel Information and how to Explore Responsibly, so we can safely continue to enjoy all the best in the heart of adventure.

See you on the trail,
The Adventurist
