| "What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies." ~Rudy Giuliani St. Michael's was delighted to welcome over 120 grandparents to our School on Friday for a fun-filled morning of singing, poetry, food and conversation. This annual First Grade tradition has been a part of St. Michael's culture for decades and is a special time for children and grandparents to connect and spend time together. Most charming were the special Grandparent Portraits that our first graders created. Many of our grandparents and guests travelled near and far to be a part of this day. Thank you so much for coming! Be sure to check out the St M Facebook page for more fun photos of the day!

Sharing Kindness
As we near the halfway mark of our Kindness Initiative, wonderful stories of kindness keep coming to our attention. One of our Dragons decided that instead of getting birthday presents, she would ask all those coming to celebrate her special day to bring $10 for the Imagine No Malaria campaign. Every $10 saves a life and she was able to save 19 lives! What a wonderful act of of kindness and compassion towards others.
