Pride Happy Hour and Shabbat Service
Kick off Pride with Bet Mishpachah, DC's LGBTQIA+ Synagogue, for a joyous celebration of love, unity, and community. Come together for drinks, snacks, and a warm atmosphere to honor our LGBTQIA+ community and welcome Shabbat with a service led by Rabbi Jake Singer-Beilin and guest speaker Jessica Stern, Special Envoy to Advance the Human Rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex Persons.

| March with the Jewish Community at Capital Pride 2024!
March with Federation, Bet Mishpachah, GLOE, PJ Library, and other community organizations in the 2024 Capital Pride Parade! Expect singing, dancing, and maybe even a little skipping. Bring your own LGBTQIA+ Jewish supportive signs, wear a fun t-shirt, or just show up and enjoy the fun! (Meeting location will be shared with registered participants the week of the parade.)

On Shavuot, we celebrate the receiving of the Torah at Mount Sinai and the first fruits of the late spring harvest. It's a holiday about food, setting up rules to live by, and reading. | America's Jewish Future
Last Wednesday night, 1,500 people gathered online and in person at Washington Hebrew Congregation for an exploration of what’s on the horizon for American Jews. CNN's David Gregory moderated the timely discussion with The Atlantic's Franklin Foer, American University's Pamela Nadell, and Federation Board member Yolanda Savage-Narva on facing and talking about antisemitism, Israel, a growing political divide, and how we live with the tensions of this moment.
