A Message from our Director, Dr. Eric Skaar:Friends and Colleagues,
As we race towards the end of the year, and prepare to celebrate the holiday season with our loved-ones, I want to express my deep appreciation to everyone in our research community for your dedication and contributions to discovery. It is a tremendous privilege to work with the world-class faculty, students, postdoctoral fellows, staff and alumni that comprise our Division. Your commitment to excellence, engagement with our trainees, relentless curiosity, and drive for basic science research have inspired me and are what make the Division of Microbial Pathogenesis and the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at VUMC, such a special place.
I’m even more excited when I look at the future ahead of us. We are currently recruiting for multiple Faculty positions in addition to the fresh faces we welcomed this year, we will begin extensive renovations of our 5th floor facilities, we continue to improve and modernize our curriculum, and we have an all-new administrative staff to help support our work.
